For over two centuries, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) have played a vital role in the building of the United States of America. AAPI contributions range from and are not limited to, the building of the Transcontinental Railroad, representing the US cause in wars abroad, reforming immigration and labor laws, participating in civil rights movements, and contributing to US history, arts & culture, politics, education, science & technology, business, AND much, much more.
However and in spite of the transformative impact of AAPI individuals and communities, our presence, histories, and contributions remain absent from US public life.
The Bengali Women's Forum (BWF) hopes to spotlight these omissions and support AAPI communities in the greater Charlotte area through a series of events and programs focused on various AAPI issues.
To kickstart the series, BWF has partnered with the Greater Charlotte Nepalese Association (GCNA) for an in-person and interactive event
Join us to: MEET CMPD officers, civic leaders, community stakeholders, and professionals from all walks of life.
SHARE & DISCUSS the barriers and challenges that AAPIs continue to face in schools, neighborhoods, at work, and the community-at-large. DEVELOP strategies to create equitable, inclusive, and just communities in Greater Charlotte and beyond.

As COVID-19 pandemic is creating unmet needs beyond the usual, many nonprofit organizations are facing the crisis in their service.
Bengali Women's Forum raised much-needed funds to support one of such organizations named The Community Shelter of Union County which has a laser focus on three areas: Food, Emergency Shelter and Rapid Rehousing.
We thank our donors for their powerful support particularly at this time when those helpless lives are encountering a new normal from this pandemic.
We would like to praise Shakthi Corp for their collaboration.Yes! We are in this together!!
